About Jupiter 41 - Mozart's Reverie
Wolfgang Amadeaus Mozart's completed his Symphony 41, on August 10, 1788. It was his last symphony. Melody so delicate as his finances detoriated and his family became destitute. Somehow, he was able to write an ethereal and light symphony even as he was writing letters to friends asking for money. I am intrigued by his artistic genius to be able to shut out everything and allow inspiration to flow naturally as he composed the 41st symphony.
The 41st symphony was later named "the Jupiter Symphony." So in this paiting I have two red Jupiter globes - when light and airy by Mozart and one heavy and looming in the sky above. I find an interesting contrast between the heavy gravitas of the planet Jupiter and the light, joyous and ethereal melodies in Symphony 41.

The European Cultural Association is organizing a contemporary art exhibition "Licht-Kraft" of 25 international artists curated by Pirjo Heino. For this exhibition every artist is creating works only in size 30x30 cm. So there will be lot of works in the gallery and lot of light in art.

I come from India, a country full of diversity, in religion, culture and topography. Its subtle ironies have baffled many travellers from the west. Its spirituality lies in day to day, mundane activities and yet inspires those who are looking for it. Amongst all the hardship and disparity I feel a kind of serenity which it has offered to all those who are brave enough to venture into her energy.Even though I do not portray the ethnicity in my work, it is largely influenced by the character of the land, ever changing and always going with the flow.
My work represents a kind of spiritual growth, a quiet acceptance. Its an expression of changes within, an introspection, which in turn manifests itself onto the canvas in the form of colours and strokes. It helps me to realize the moment, and express only the moment.

Each land has its own scent, its own colour as well as its own character; so do have people ...
And on each individual resides the sovereignty of the peerless relationship established with one's own land samely to the love one would be feeling towards another human being.
The hardly visible traces from bygone lives are just there waiting indigently to be understood.
From here to there do migrate the nomads' tents. On these high mountain pastures, homelessness means richness of accommodating guests in guest room extending until the horizon.
Squat tables are being set up opposing the sea; so that the incorrigibleness of the ever dancing blue becomes a banquet to allay our souls...
The sun that is rising again, the dew falling on us every morning are God's promise.
The sole aspiration of ours is naughty childishness with our pockets full of peppermint candies.
Our stomaches full, our souls full ... Infinity is a promise made to us; and makes us smile...
Both the captivity of unlovedness as well as the rulership of love have passed through these lands...
Some claimed right over these beauties, some wanted to mix in themselves ...
This exhibition is about the times passed on these lands. A tale of yearning, fullness and of smile ...
